Summer is coming and it is coming fast. I mean it is May already and my kids are out June 1 and I am panicking!
Suddenly I am thinking of all the things I need to do before I have all 5 kids at home with me.
And then I think of all the things I need to do to prepare to have the kids home all summer.
That leads me to searching for paperwork and deadlines as we sign everyone up for activities and it is all SO EXHAUSTING.
Starting last week I have multiple appointments each week for various things for various kids. My week is being eaten up in waiting rooms! The dentist, the doctor, the dermatologist, eye doctor…all the doctors are getting all my time and money. Then we have to focus on summer. If you are like me you vow to take the summer off, to sit back and relax and enjoy family life. Days by the pool, evenings roasting s’mores over the fire pit. We spend our mornings at swim team practice (another deadline I need to find, papers I need to fill out and check I need to write, oh yeah and we need to try on bathing suits). Last year my 4th daughter joined swim team and she kind of refused to really do it. She got shy and doubted her skills and we had many many tears. She has been going to Goldfish Swim School all year long and I KNOW she is an excellent swimmer, she knows freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and is working on butterfly, but I am still worried we will have a repeat of last year. I need my kids to be strong swimmers and swim team is how we achieve that goal. I have decided she needs to do a Goldfish Jumpstart Clinic before her first swim team practice to really build her confidence. The Goldfish Jumpstart Clinic is perfect for any young swimmer who needs a reminder of their skills right before summer. The Jumpstart Clinic consists of 5 days in a row of 30 minute lessons. Short, sweet and the perfect refresher or confidence builder as we head into summer.
Now I just need a jumpstart clinic for me to get me well rested and prepared to tackle summer!
PS There is a new Goldfish location here in town, Lewis Center is officially open!
I am a Goldfish Swim Mom partner, all opinions are my own.
