I am no gourmet chef but I think I am a pretty good cook. No one has died from anything I ever made and more often than not it is eaten with appreciation! The thing I still struggle with is cooking my pork perfectly. We really like pork at our house, all 5 kids will eat it and it is so versatile. Every time I cook a pork loin dinner ends up being late because it is till pink inside. And that is so frustrating. Sides get cold, tiny people get grouchy and it is never good. After many attempts and much research I realized that I would never master the pork loin until I had a great meat thermometer.
Even if I bought the same weight pork loin every day it would be different thickness which would affect the cooking time. Now that I realized temperature was the ideal way to predict a perfect pork loin I needed a good meat thermometer (160F is the goal). After melting one thermometer (oops) I decided to try the ET-737 Bluetooth Thermometer. This thermometer stays in your meat as it cooks. There is a magnetic reader you can place on the door of your oven and then it remotely communicates with an app on your phone via Bluetooth. This Bluetooth meat thermometer is fabulous. You simply tell it what your goal temperature is and walk away. Your phone will beep when the temperature has been reached.
My husband went pheasant hunting and so I cooked pheasant for the first time. The dinner turned out perfect thanks to the ET-737 Bluetooth Thermometer ! Just look at that bird! I looked up the ideal temperature for pheasant, found and recipe and cooked with confidence. This thermometer is a great price too, I found it for $22 on Amazon!
