As I have mentioned we are big fans of Snow Trails Ski Resort here in Ohio. My oldest 3 girls have all learned to ski at the hands of the amazing ski instructors at Snow Trails and we couldn’t be happier. I have often raved about the quality of instruction, but until you experience you can’t quite know. Last week while chaperoning at Snow Trails for our schools ski club I witnessed the perfect example of how special the ski instructors at Snow Trails are. We had a first time skier with us and after taking a lesson he turned in his equipment and was sitting in the lodge. As someone who loves skiing this broke my heart, he clearly was not loving the sport. After a bit of coaxing it came out he somehow got in the wrong level lesson and felt very overwhelmed. I knew that all he needed was some one on one time to get his confidence back and I knew that the Snow Trails instructors would want him to have it.
After explaining to the Snow Trails instructors about the mix-up that resulted in a kid not wanting to ski they insisted on a private lesson to re-introduce him to skiing. The private lesson was a smashing success and now our new skier is in love. I knew that the instructors at Snow Trails would be upset to hear a child had a rough first lesson and they exceeded my expectations by making it right. That is one of the many things I love about Snow Trails, they are truly dedicated to instilling a love of skiing in everyone who takes a lesson.
This month is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month making it the perfect time to head to Snow Trails and learn. You can take advantage of one of the many package deals going on and learn to love this sport as much as my family does. These packages include equipment rentals, lift ticket and lesson. If you have a child under 9 I can not recommend the children’s programs highly enough. The all-inclusive day program for your 4 to 9 year old includes an Area Ticket, Equipment Rental, Helmet, and Instruction/Supervision with Snacks and Lunch. My kids participated in the children’s ski program at Snow Trails last year and loved it. My husband and I loved that we got some adult ski time while our kids were happily learning how to ski and the kids loved the lessons and time spent in the ski program.
