Swimming is a wonderful sport, not only is it a lifesaving skill, but the benefits go beyond that. Swimming is so good for the body. It is a total body workout giving your child amazing exercise from head to toe. If your kids are anything like mine they have figured out how to do minimal work on the soccer field and have been able to avoid getting all their energy out by simply not trying. When my kids are in the pool there is no way to swim halfway, it’s swim or sink no other option. I still remember when one of my kids first swam, she got half way across grabbed the lane line and declared she didn’t like swimming as it was too much work.
My kids focus better in school when they are getting consistent exercise. They sleep better and they are better able to stay on task in all areas of life. Goldfish Swim School offers just the right amount of exercise for my younger girls. The half hour long swim lesson goes by quickly but the kids swim quite a lot. With a class size of just 4 the kids get lots of swim time and attention for the coaches. They also learn real skills and the attention to detail means my kids are learning proper legal strokes that they can use for summer swim team.
Swimming builds up your kids’ lungs and can be great for kids who need more stamina. My daughter has allergy induced asthma and swimming has been great for her lung strength. She swims year-round at Goldfish Swim School and swims summers on our pools swim team. Over the last year of this year-round swimming her lung capacity has increased and her asthma episodes have been far less frequent. I don’t think that is a coincidence.
My kids look forward to our weekly lessons at Goldfish Swim School. They get some exercise, have fun and learn a life skill all at once. We truly love our Goldfish Swim School!
Thanks to Goldfish Swim School in Dublin, Ohio for partnering with me, they also have a Goldfish Swim School location in Westerville, Ohio.
