This past week my daughter received the Most Improved Swimmer Award for the junior swim team. I could not have been prouder of my little swimmer. This award is given to the swimmer who has dropped the most time and my girl dropped 22 seconds in her backstroke! WHAT?!?!?
Last summer she did a passable backstroke but it needed lots of work. We started attending Goldfish Swim School every week and what a difference it has made. You might wonder why a kid on swim team would take swim lessons, she obviously knows how to swim. Goldfish doesn’t just teach your child the basics of swimming. They teach the mechanics of all 4 strokes. My daughter has better technique and her strokes are technically better than her big sisters.
I have been telling her all winter that her stroke has improved tremendously, but I am not sure she believed me. Then she raced backstroke in her first meet and dropped 22 seconds. Everyone was so impressed that the coaches announced it to the team at the next practice. They told all the swimmers to congratulate her. Needless to say my little 7 year old was glowing when high schoolers congratulated her on swimming such a great race. And I have Goldfish Swim School to thank.
Goldfish Swim School not only provided a fun environment but an educational one. The skill level she has reached is beyond what I expected from a place that offers swim lessons. Her skills are equal to those taught at stroke clinics that my older girls have attended.
I am so proud of all the hard work my girl put in and happy that it paid off this summer. And I am so grateful to Goldfish Swim School for helping her reach her goals!
Thank you to Goldfish Swim School for providing lessons to my daughter, all opinions are my own.
