Last week I had the pleasure of teaming up with a super talented mom at my school to tackle Teacher Appreciation Week. At our school we take one week and the Home & School Association funds a series of appreciation activities. Our theme was based on Teaching is my Super Power and we had so much fu with our super hero theme.
Monday: We took a cart form room to room offering breakfast to our teachers. We had all grab and go items making it easy and convenient.
Tuesday: We put pocket hand sanitizers with a cute tag on them in each teachers mailbox.
Wednesday: We did a gourmet snack bar with all kinds of popcorn flavors. We set out plastic bags so teachers could fill a bag for now or later. This was a huge hit! We used colored buckets with shovels and it turned out adorable.
Thursday: We set out a bowl of gum with a tag saying You Make Us POP with Appreciation.
Friday: On Friday the whole staff eats a catered lunch together. Parents come in and cover the classrooms so everyone can eat together. We have an amazingly generous Chick-fil-a in our area and they helped us shower our teachers by providing delicious salads and giving us an amazing deal on sandwiches. The teachers loved having Chick-fil-a and the superfood side salad was a huge hit (it’s my favorite too). Our generous parents provided fruit and desserts and we gave each teacher a fun little gift.
We got these glass mason jar straw cups and put two gift cards in them, one to Chick-fil-a. The teachers had a wonderful lunch together and really enjoyed the delicious food (thanks again Chick-fil-a).
Such a fun week celebrating our teachers. It was great to see them truly enjoy the lunch and feel appreciated for all they do!
