Quick and easy, that is the key to a great after school snack. At our house there are several days where we have exactly 30 minutes to eat a snack, change into the gear for whatever activity we are headed to and get back out the door. I need snacks that the kids love and I can make in a flash.
I mentioned recently that this year I am trying to be better about supporting my schools in all ways, both big and small. One of those ways is by purchasing General Mills® products that have Box Tops™. Three of the products that we love and make great snacks are Chex Mix™, Pillsbury™ crescent dinner rolls and Pillsbury™ Grands!™ flaky layer biscuits.
Quick and Easy Snack #1: Chex Mix
So this really needs no explanation or really anything additional. Kids love Chex Mix so keep a bag handy, dump it in a bowl and let the kids have at it. Quick, easy and minimal mess = a perfect snack. Plus select bags have the bonus 5 Box Tops™.
Quick and Easy Snack #2: Pig in a Blanket
Using Pillsbury™ crescent dinner rolls and fully cooked breakfast sausage links create a favorite protein packed snack of ours. Wrap the sausage in a crescent roll and bake according to the package. Serve and enjoy!
Quick and Easy Snack #3: Grands!™ Personal Pizzas
We made personal pizzas out of Pillsbury™ Grands!™ flaky layer biscuits one night and the kids loved them. We used a rolling pin to flatten the biscuits and then let the kids add sauce, cheese and favorite toppings. You can even use leftovers like your bbq chicken to make a pizza. They take under 20 minutes to make start to finish and make a filling and fun snack for the kids.
All 3 of these recipes use products that are part of the Walmart Bonus Box Tops™ products so these snacks got me 15 Box Tops™ for my kids schools. I shared a few tips for Box Tops™ collecting success so if you are a newbie collector like me you can do it right from the get go.
