Colorblocking is still very popular and it is an easier trend to pull off than you may think, simply pair two solid pieces together to create our own colorblocking effect and voila you have it You can find shirts and dresses and even jackets that are colorblocked on the piece themselves but your closet is full of DIY color block options, you just need to find the right pairing.
I recently received a pair of light blue Lee Platinum Label No Gap Ventura Bermuda to style and they inspired some colorblocking fashion fun. I initially wore them with a floral blue and white top and it was very cute but I wanted something with a bit more pop that would transition into fall. I decided to add a coral cardigan with 3/4 sleeves and matching coral wedge heel sandals. I love the two bold colors together creating a colorblock effect that really catches the eye. Normally I would have a white tank sticking out in between to break it up but I really like the stark contrast without the white in between.
As you can see colorblocking is really that easy, so will you be doing some DIY colorblocking? Now that I created this outfit I have many more to try as we head into fall.
