I received prodyct to facilitate my review, all opinions are my own.
When my daughter Genevieve was born she was 36 1/2 weeks, I had been having complications and it was decided delivery was the best course as she seemed developed enough to be born without issues. When she was born a healthy 7 pounds she looked great and all was fine, then her oxygen levels dropped and she was taken to NICU. My baby girl had a full CPAP for 20 hours and thankfully after that she was fine and able to be with me, then go home. Taking her home was very nerve wracking, I worried that she was not getting enough oxygen but had no way to tell. The very first night home she turned a bit blue around the lips so we ran to the Emergency Room, they confirmed she was holding her breath but apparently not long enough to be bad just enough to terrify me. After that I always worried she would stop breathing on me or worse would be struggling for enough oxygen right in front of me and I would not know it.
Those first few weeks were nerve wracking and my daughter’s issues were minimal, I know some babies need lots more monitoring and I can not imagine the stress that causes parents. Angelcare Digital Video, Movement and Sound Monitor is the 3-in-1 monitor that allows parents to breath a bit easier when baby is sleeping. This digital video baby monitor comes with not only a video monitor but a sensor pad that is placed under the babies crib mattress and monitors movement. If the baby has not moved for more than 20 seconds an alarm sounds so you can check on your baby. And once the baby has gotten older you can discontinue the use of the sensor pad and continue using the video monitor as is.
Another great feature of this baby monitor are a temperature indicator on the screen alerting you to the room temperature and telling you if it is too hot or too cold for baby. The units in the monitor have the option of both battery or power chord, but they batteries are not rechargeable, that is one thing I wish this had. This video baby monitor also has all kinds of other bells and whistles like talk back feature, a nightlight, LCD touchscreen monitor, zoom and sensibility adjustment. My kids and I played around with this monitor and I was very happy with the quality. Since I have no one in a crib I was unable to really test the sensor mat but I tell you this it does go off and loud when there is no movement, as I found out when hooking it up! Be sure to check out all of the package options offered by Angelcare Baby Monitors to find the perfect monitor for you and your baby.
