If you live in Central Ohio than you have probably seen Piada, a fabulous restaurant popping up all over town. And if you are smart you have eaten there already and know just how good it is. Last week my husband and I had the opportunity to be one of the first to try out the new Piada Farmer’s Market Salad and then of course we ate all kinds of other delicious food.
The idea behind Piada is better food fast and all the way you want. All of the food is custom made and they are know for the fabulous Piada, but you can also get pasta bowls and salads. The new Farmer’s Market salad is unique because it comes custom made one way full of delicious fresh ingredients. The Piada Farmer’s Market Salad includes: field greens, strawberries, roasted chicken, feta, avocados, grilled sweet corn and spiced pecans tossed in a lemon-basil dressing. While you can customize this salad it is true perfection exactly as they make it. The ingredients are so fresh and delicious and the strawberries and pecans add a touch of sweetness, this is salad is so good!
Piada also treated us to some other food and I am so glad we let them decide as I tried flavor combinations I never would have and they were amazing. We tried a Piada filled with: pasta, steak, creamy parmesan dressing, mixed greens, bruschetta tomatoes, red onions and parmesan cheese. I had never tried the Piada before as the idea of pasta in a wrap seemed a bit odd to me, but it is truly brilliant so you must try it.
They also brought us a Piada Pasta Bowl to try which is what I always get. This particular pasta bowl contained: crispy chicken, pomodoro sauce, basil pesto sauce, spinach, red onion, black olives, bruschetta tomatoes, and mozzarella. I had never thought to mix two of the sauces together before but oh my the basil pesto mixed with pomodoro is so good!
As a delicious side they brought us Piada Sticks both the artichoke and the pepperoni. I have tried the Artichoke Piada Stick before and I love it, the flaky Piada wrapping is so good. We also go to try the Cannoli Chips served with chocolate chip cream dipping sauce. We loved the Cannoli Chips so much we ended up getting some to go to bring home to the kids, I highly recommend this sweet treat!
We had the pleasure of chatting with the head chef who creates all of the food and his passion for Piada was so evident. Piada is rapidly expanding with locations opening in Indiana and Michigan and possibly Texas. They will soon be rolling out gelato too and I can not wait to try it. Piada is the perfect place for me to take my family as the food is quick, fresh and reasonable and the atmosphere is perfect. My husband and I love to go here on date night but next time we will bring the kids, it’s only fair since they will love Piada too. If you don’t have time to dine in Piada also offers take out available at the pick-up window so call ahead or order online then drive up and grab your delicious food, so much better than traditional fast food. Thank you to Piada for a delicious night of food!
