I love to bake goodies for the holidays, it is one of my favorite gifts to give and is truly appreciated by everyone. Every year I make a giant platter of holiday goodies for my husband to take into work. We also take goodies to our neighbors and friends and it always received with enthusiasm. This year with the help of Hershey’s and Meijer I tried a few new recipes and don’t worry they are both really easy.
The first one I tried was Peanut Butter Blossoms, we are all familiar with these goodies and they are so easy to make all you need is a pack of Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix and Hershey kisses. or if you are feeling especially generous and ambitious you can make them from scratch the recipe is available at Hershey’s Kitchens.
Next i tired the York Peppermint Pattie Brownies these looked and sounded incredible. I used a Betty Crocker brownie mix with Hershey’s syrup in it to cheat but that came back to bite me. I used too big of a pan so while mine tasted delicious they did not look good at all. So if you go the cheating route either use an 8×8 pan put half the batter in then a layer of York peppermint patties and then cover with the other half of the batter or use two mixes and use a 13x9x2 pan. or you can make them from scratch and really wow people, find the recipe here.
