I was recently challenged to come up with a recipe using a Hamilton Beach slow cooker and any Franks RedHot sauce besides the original. I decided to take my beloved Chipotle Beef Burritos and substitute for the chipotle peppers the Franks RedHot Sweet Chili Sauce. Well it turned out amazing , even better than the original recipe we decided. The Sweet Chili Sauce added a sweetness to the spice and it was devoured y m whole family plus our guests. Be sure to check out my video and Whrrl for the full story!
1 1/2 lb boneless beef
1 14.5 oz.can diced tomatoes undrained
1 chopped onion
4 TBL Franks RedHot Sweet Chili Sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 clove garlic minced
1 package tortillas
shredded cheese (optional for topping)
corn (optional for topping)
lettuce (optional for topping)
rice (optional for topping
1. Trim fat from meat and cut into 6 pieces. In a crock pot place meat, undrained tomatoes, onion, sweet chili sauce, oregano, cumin, and garlic.
2. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 -10 hours or high heat for 4-5 hours. Using 2 forks pull meat apart into shreds and fill up your tortillas plus any toppings you desire.
Thanks to Collective Bias for sponsoring this post and providing a Hamilton Beach slow cooker, all opinions are my own.
