My mom has a butcher block counter top and not only does it look great but it is very practical. You can set hot dishes on it, you can cut on it and it keeps your blades sharper longer. While I am not in the market to redo my counter tops I can instead have a butcher block cutting board to use and help create more counter space. My kitchen is very tiny with limited space and that can be very frustrating, but with my butcher block cutting board I simply place it across one side of my double sink and I instantly have more usable space. Butcher Block Co. carries exceptional quality cutting boards, islands, counter tops and more made by JK Adams. They generously sent me the rectangular chunk board made of beautiful cherry. This cutting board is gorgeous, I almost didn’t want to use it! I love cutting on my butcher block board and have retired all of my other cutting boards. This board is 2 1/2 inches thick making for a sturdy cutting surface and it is reversible plus it comes with a 5 year guarantee of performance and quality from JK Adams. It is essential that you properly care for your board and if you do it will last a lifetime. Clean with soap and water and be sure to dry thoroughly then after cleaning stand it up on end to prevent warping. Butcher Block is not cheap but it is a lifetime investment, right now the Rectangle Chunk Board is on sale $115.95 for the 12 x 12 and $143.95 for the 16 x 16 shipping is free.
